Cheese Pimiento is a very common and well-liked sandwich spread by both kids and adults. The addition of honey gave it a distinct pleasant taste and a tad healthier too!
1/4cupRoasted sweet red peppers, in a jar***(drained, seeded and finely chopped)
3Tbspshoney
2Tbspssoftened butter or Becel
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until fully combined.
Transfer to a lidded food container and refrigerate until needed.
Serve with sliced bread, toasted if preferred.
Notes
*add more cheese if you want it thicker and cheesier.**adjust the amount of mayonnaise and/or honey, according to your preference.***You can make the peppers from scratch. Just grill one red bell pepper until softened and all sides are charred. Place in a bowl, cover with cling wrap ( to trap the heat and moisture for easier peeling ) until cool, peel off the charred skin, drain with paper towels and chop finely.
